This Visa allows you to own and manage a business in Australia, Conduct business and Investment activity in Australia or Undertake an entrepreneurial activity in Australia.

Note that business migration can be extremely complex, and even determining whether you have a good chance of qualifying can be difficult. In addition, You may be able to qualify in a number of different business migration categories. Most investor and business migrant visas require a state nomination before applying. Business innovation & investment subclass 188 visas are for investors and business owners who wish to establish business operations in Australia. The visa is valid for 4 years.
There are 5 eligibility streams

This provisional visa is for people with business skills. It lets you operate a new or existing business in Australia.

• •You must operate a new or existing business in Australia.
  
• •You must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.
  

This provisional visa requires you to invest at least AUD1.5 million in an Australian State or Territory and maintain business or investment activity in Australia.

• •You must invest AUD 1.5 million in an Australian state or territory
  
• •You must be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency.
  

This provisional visa is for people who invest at least AUD5 million in Australian investments that meet certain requirements and maintain investment activity in Australia.

• •You must invest at least AUD 5 million in complying significant investment in Australia.
  
• •You must be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency.
  

This provisional visa lets holders of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) in the Business Innovation stream extend their stay in Australia for 2 more years.

• • Extend your stay for up to 2 more years. This means you can stay in Australia for a total of 6 years from the date of grant of your Subclass 188 visa in the Business Innovation stream.
  
• •You can only have held 1 Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188).
  
• •You must hold a Subclass 188 visa in the Business Innovation stream.
  
• •You must have held your Subclass 188 visa in the Business Innovation stream for at least 3 years.
  
• •You must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.
  

This provisional visa lets holders of a Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) Significant Investor stream holders extend their stay in Australia for up to 4 more years.

• •Extend your stay for up to 4 more years. This means you can stay in Australia for a total of 8 years from the date of grant of your Subclass 188 visa in the Significant Investor stream.
  
• •You must hold a Subclass 188 visa in the Significant Investor stream for at least 3 years, or a Subclass 188 visa in the Significant Investor Extension stream.
  
• •You cannot have held more than 1 Subclass 188 visa in the Significant Investor Extension stream.
  
• •You must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency or Austrade.
  

This provisional visa is for people who are nominated by Austrade and who invest at least AUD15 million in Australian investments and/or philanthropic contributions.

• •You must invest AUD15 million in Australian investments and/or philanthropic contributions that meet certain requirements.
  
• •You must be nominated by Austrade.
  

This provisional visa lets you carry out entrepreneurial activities in Australia.

• •You must have a funding agreement with a third party to carry out entrepreneurial activities.
  
• •You must first be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency.
  

This visa lets holders of the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) in the Business Innovation stream or the Business Innovation Extension stream, or holders of a subclass 444 (Special Category) visa, or certain holders of a subclass 457 (Business (Long Stay) visa, stay permanently

This visa allows you to establish a new develop an existing business in Australia

This visa is for experienced business owners, to operate a new or existing business in Australia.

You must have:

• •A net value of at least AUD1.5 million (lawfully acquired)
  
• •An annual business turnover of at least AUD3 million for at least 2 of the 4 fiscal years immediately before you are invited to apply
  
• •A total net asset of at least AUD400,000 as the ownership interest in one or more qualifying businesses for least 2 of the 4 fiscal years immediately before you are invited to apply
  

This visa is for people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Investment Council (AIC) (formerly known as the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL)).

• •You must have funding of at least AUD1 million from an Australian venture capital firm.
